Stefan Ouma delivers a  keynote of the annual conference of the AFRN, which brought together scholars from Australia, Aotearoa New Zealand, India, Indonesia, Brazil, Chile, Japan, Taiwan and several others countries. The keynote was entitled “Present Absence: Centering ‘Race’ in the Global Land Rush”. In this talk, Stefan tackled a present absence in the global land rush, especially its finance-driven version: the spectre of “race”.  Thanks to Bill Pritchard (University of Sydney) and his team for the invitation!
